Appearance: Yellow with a fairly golden hue and light greenish notes, clean and bright.
Bouquet: Medium intensity, frank, with a certain complexity. A wonderful aging treatment that is perceived in a very discreet way, leaving all the prominence to the fruit (white stone fruit and green apple skin) with floral and herbaceous notes, lees, a light sweetness and a delicate smoked touch.
Palate: It has a good entry, with an unctuous mid palate, good structure, rather dry, with a hint of the lees and a good load of fruit, spicy, with subtle bitterness, a great acidity and a long and fresh finish.
Description
Sameirás is the name of a small urban area belonging to the Ribadavia town hall, located between Santiago de Esposende and San Andrés de Camporredondo, in the province of Ourense. The current Adegas Sameirás winery is built on what was formerly the building where his ancestors made and marketed wine. This stage begins in 2002, when they proceeded with an expansion and reform, equipping it with the most modern technology. Due to the inherited tradition, they try to keep in mind the most traditional production systems that they learned from their ancestors, who have transmitted to them respect for the environment in which their vineyards are located, but always counting on the technological advances that are currently being developed for oenology, thus maintaining a link between Origin, Tradition and Quality, fundamental pillars in the production of all their wines. For this they have the invaluable experience and good know-how of their winemaker, Álvaro Bueno. 1040 is a different, unique and a very nice wine; its name comes from the process that is carried out in the fermentation of the wine, since when the density of the grape must reaches 1040 it is passed to the oak barrels to finish this process.
