If you think about Albamar, you have to think about its Albariños, which are the specialty of the house. The winery has a quarter of a century and stands out for its close, friendly treatment, and its family spirit. The grapes used by the Albamar Winery come from vineyards settled on sandy soils very close to the Ría de Arosa, in the O Salnés area. The vineyard is planted on a trellis. The grapes, after being carefully selected, are harvested manually, thus avoiding unnecessary breakage and seeking to keep the fruit in the best possible condition. At the head of the Albamar Winery is Xurxo Alba, who after finishing his studies in viticulture and oenology and also in engineering, decided in 2006 to create his own business project based on the already existing family winery. Xurxo’s work philosophy is based on maximum respect for its excellent raw material, without renouncing diversification and experimentation in the different winemaking and aging processes. The Albamar Winery, in addition to producing excellent white wines under the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin and the Valdeorras Designation of Origin, also produces magnificent red wines under the Ribeira Sacra Designation. Its annual production exceeds 60,000 liters and its wines are exported to practically the whole world. Albamar Finca O Pereiro is a white wine with aging 100% Albariño made by Bodega Albamar within the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin. It comes from the O Pereiro plot located a few meters from the sea and the mouth of the Umía River (Castrelo), 7,000 square meters of Albariño variety vineyards planted in 2004 on sandy soils, which gives the wine a marked Atlantic character. and saline. Albamar Finca O Pereiro is a complex, balanced, fresh, tasty and elegant wine.
