It was in 1988 when the Lagar de Besada Winery was born, together with the Rías Baixas D.O, being one of the first wineries to join and taking the Albariño variety as a hallmark. Respect for the land, the effort in the selection of the grape, the careful elaboration, the value of the passage of time and above all humility, mark the style of Lagar de Besada. The Lagar de Besada vineyards are located along the Valle del Salnés, in small parcels characteristic of the «Galician smallholding» area. For driving the traditional trellis is used, with this system the sun exposure of the leaves is maximized and the fruit has better ventilation. The grape bunches are small, they ripen early and are of medium vigor. The grapes are small with golden and green iridescence, elegant floral and fruity aromas; their flavour is fresh and smooth. María Sineiro is the Technical Director and Manager and David Ballesteros is the Winemaker and Marketing Manager of Lagar de Besada Winery.
