Description
At the beginning of the last century, grandfather José understood viticulture as the craftsman does with his works or the artist with his creations. His imprint was engraved in the family memory, as was that of grandfather Paco, a man ahead of his time who was able to masterfully transmit his passion for wine to the whole family. When Grandmother Teresa passed the witness to them and encouraged them to continue with the family legacy, they understood that it was time to put into practice a whole way of seeing life, of understanding nature, and of doing things under the criteria of the sustainability. Time and reflection tend to give more meaning to all childhood experiences, to each of the words that are still alive in memory. The Davide Winery is located in the prodigious valley of the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin, a breath away from the Arousa estuary and the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. Pursuing excellence may be a chimera, but it helps to follow at all times the path of coherence and fidelity to oneself. In 2003 they began the construction of the new winery on the centenary family house. Since then they have worked without pause to promote the inherited vineyards of more than 25 years of life and identify the best terroirs of the Rías Baixas D.O. where to cultivate their future. Davide is an excellent white wine with aging made with 100% Albariño grapes by Davide Winery within the protection of the regulatory board of the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin. The grapes with which this wine is made come from micro terroirs close to the sea with vines over 25 years old planted in poor, sandy-loam soils with fossils of seashells located in unique enclaves of the Sálnes Valley. The Davide Winery carries out a reflective viticulture, nothing interventionist since they are fully committed to the ideas of purity, typicality, honesty, and simplicity. Small preparations fermented spontaneously only with wild yeasts, respecting the character, the caste and the uniqueness of the harvest.
