Don Pedro de Soutomaior is an Albariño single-varietal white wine made by Adegas Galegas and encompassed in the regulatory board of Rias Baixas Designation of Origin. Don Pedro de Soutomaior is a wine of great aromatic intensity, fresh, balanced, with soft bitter notes and a pleasant fruity persistence. With the Don Pedro de Soutomaior label, Adegas Galegas pays tribute to the noble warrior and feudal knight of the late fifteenth century Pedro Madruga, a character forever linked to the exaltation of Galician culture. Since its inception Adegas Galegas has been characterized by the utmost respect for the oenological tradition and the quality of its wines.
Appearance: Straw yellow colour with lemon reflections, it is clean, bright and with a slight bubble that shows its youth.
Bouquet: Clean and intense, aromas of ripe fruit (pineapple, melon and pear), citrus (grapefruit), floral and light fresh herbaceous.
Palate: In the mouth it is broad and aromatic, unctuous, with a fruity load, fresh and balanced, with long fruit persistence. Clean aftertaste where pleasant bitter notes appear.
Adegas Galegas is located in Meder (Pontevedra). With the aim of combining the wine richness of two sub-areas of the Rías Baixas D.O, O Rosal and O Condado, Adegas Galegas was founded in 1995, a winery that from the beginning has been characterized by the quality of its wines and admiration for nature and tradition. From its vineyards in Meder and Goián, grapes are obtained to make wines such as Don Pedro de Soutomaior or Veigadares, endorsed by major international competitions and considered two of the best white wines in Spain.
