Nueve Uvas is more than a wine company. It is a journey through the territory, the varieties and its people. A journey through wine. Restless by nature, their curiosity has pushed them to discover five appellations of origin that they now want to share with you. Belarmino is a tribute to “Uncle Belar”, who has left his mark with his personality and affection. Belarmino is the name of his project in the Ribeira Sacra D.O. As a result of the collaboration with the Moure family, their Galician reds are born. In the deep wound in the land that is the Ribeira Sacra, crossed by numerous rivers, between lush forests and steep canyons, its vineyards grow proudly. Defying gravity and the limits of what is humanly possible. They resist thanks to the tireless work of generations of heroic winegrowers who for centuries have carefully worked these slopes. The peculiarity of the climate and the different exhibitions is reflected in its wines. The small plots with the youngest vineyards are selected to make their freshest and most fruity wine, O Mouro. These Mencía vines grow on granitic and slate soils, fresh and permeable, which, together with a high rainfall, give the wine a very characteristic acidity. Ferrador is a white wine made with the Treixadura and Torrontés grape varieties by the Nueve Uvas Winery – Belarmino Compañía de Vinos within the Ribeiro Designation of Origin. Manual harvest in boxes of 20 kgs. Fermentation at a controlled temperature between 15ºC and 18ºC for approximately 15 days in stainless steel tanks. Aged with its lees for 2 months. Ferrador, a Galician word that means farrier in Spanish, is a young and fruity white wine, a multivarietal, in the style of the typical “blends” of the Ribeiro.
