Description

Bodegas La Val was founded in 1985 by Mr. José Limeres Guille, current Honorary President. The long history of Bodegas La Val has been a path that leads them to what they are today. They are located in O Rosal, at the mouth of the river Miño, with a farm called La Val. From her they take their name. They promote the creation of the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin in 1988 and since then they have had a voice in the Plenary of the Regulatory Council. Making quality wines implies having a land that is up to par. For this reason, in 1989 and 1990, they planted the Arantei and Taboexa farms, and in 2012 they incorporated Porto. The production was transferred in 2003 to Finca Arantei, in the municipality of Salvaterra de Miño, with a new and modern winery equipped with the highest technology. The building is located within a 35-hectare plantation, with a useful area of 6,600 m². In 2010 there was a change in the shareholding (MBI / MBO), with the Limeres family retaining a minority stake. Together with a group of investors, Fernando Bandeira, as managing partner, and Antonio Ruiloba, as managing partner, becomes the new owners of the winery. At Bodegas La Val they have been recognized with the “Q for Quality”, a seal that provides the tourist establishments that hold it with five key characteristics: prestige, differentiation, reliability, rigor and promotion. The “Q” mark from the Spanish Institute of Tourist Quality (ICTE) offers them an opportunity to enhance their diversification through Oenological Tourism. As a result of this trajectory and good work, Bodegas La Val has: 53 hectares of its own vineyard, 6,600 m² of useful surface in the winery, 1,000,000 liters of fermentation capacity, and 70% of the production destined for the foreign market. Their wines meet the highest quality and food safety standards. They are one of the few wineries in the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin and in Galicia in general that has the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Food Safety Certification, one of the most important accreditations in terms of product quality. With it, the union of a traditional production with the latest technology in the wine sector is valued. The desire for continuous improvement and the search for excellence always lead them to innovation in their production processes. Their aim, offering wines of the highest quality.
