Description
Lagar de Costa Winery is a family winery located in Cambados (Pontevedra). Its construction dates back more than a century and although it has been renovated on various occasions, its original stone and wood structure has always been maintained. They have 6 hectares of exclusive Albariño cultivation, with vines over 50 years old, grown on sandy-loam soils very close to the sea and between 0 and 30 meters of altitude, nestled in the Umia-O Grove Intertidal Complex, opposite to the Island of A Toxa, in the parish of Castrelo. For three generations, effort and dedication have been its hallmarks, and as a result of the passion for Albariño wine, wines of surprising quality have emerged. They select the grapes with meticulousness, alternating the most traditional techniques with the most modern. The Albariño Calabobos 2016, undergoes a long aging in concrete eggs on its lees to create a very powerful, round Rias Baixas Albariño with infinite nuances. Lagar de Costa Albariño is a very balanced and fruity wine, with delicate citrus notes that give it freshness and intensity and a long and very pleasant finish. Lagar de Costa Albariño pairs perfectly with all kinds of white fish and seafood, smoked fish, rice, poultry and vegetables.
