This is a wine that is made with 100% Albariño grapes from vines of about 40 years and that is aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for 5 months. Os Dunares perfectly expresses and captures the essence of the Galician Atlantic landscape both on the outside and inside, showing on the palate as a friendly, slightly saline, refreshing, addictive and delicious wine.
Appearance: Straw yellow colour with greenish reflections.
Bouquet: Its nose is very clean and quite expressive, with aromas of fresh white fruit (pear), citrus and some herbal touches of white flowers in the background, as well as some shy spicy notes that precede a mineral background.
Palate: The mouth is eminently citrus, with a clear memory of grapefruit, a very high acidity but never bothersome in a direct and at the same time friendly wine, slightly salty, refreshing, addictive, delicious…
Cristina Yagüe from Madrid and María Falcón from Cambados (Pontevedra) are the founders of Anónimas Viticultoras Winery, a project that was born as a tribute to all women in the world of wine and that has become, in its own right, one of the most interesting initiatives of the last years as far as viticulture is concerned. Its elaborations, both in Rías Baixas and Ribeira Sacra, have been very well received by professionals in the sector due to their quality and personality. Cristina began working with María, in her family’s winery, Bodegas y Viñedos Don Olegario, when they called her to collaborate in the elaboration of a red wine of the Caíño variety, which was a variety with which she was in love and with she already had a previous experience. I already knew Maria previously because they had met in a tasting and from the beginning they had a very good connection. With his collaboration in the winery they got to know each other better. Over time they saw the opportunity to make wine together and thus Anónimas Viticultoras was born. Anónimas Viticultoras is a very transversal project; they feel very committed to all working women, those tireless fighters like their grandmothers and mothers. Women who went unnoticed, but who have left a wonderful legacy that is the Galician matriarchy. On the other hand, in their professional career they have experienced as well how women have always been in the background. It should not be forgotten that they work in a sector historically more linked to men, although it is also true that women have an increasing presence. With Anónimas Viticultoras they wanted to contribute their bit, help to value the figure of women in the world of wine and at the same time pay tribute to all these anonymous women who preceded them.
