Description
In the Salnés Valley, in the heart of the Rias Baixas Designation of Origin, the vineyards of Bodegas Pazo de Villarei extend. The total vineyard area is 42 hectares less than 20 years old and they are divided into several plots, located between the Arousa and Pontevedra estuaries, on the banks of the Umia, for their best maturation. The vineyards are located at altitudes between 100 and 300 m. above sea level. With a temperate and humid climate, shallow and sandy soils, the ideal microclimate is created. The mild temperatures of summer make the grape ripen slowly, preserving all its varietal aromas and an important acidity, necessary for the production of fresh and fruity wines. Pazo de Villarei is a fantastic aged white wine made with 100% Albariño grapes by Bodegas Pazo de Villarei under the protection of the regulatory board of Rias Baixas Designation of Origin. Aged on its own lees for 6 months, this Albariño thus achieves greater smoothness, roundness and structure on the palate, as well as greater persistence in its aromas. This wine stands out for its freshness, liveliness and its fruity and very tasty finish. It is agile on the palate, with refreshing acidity and a slight bitterness.
