Description
Pazo Tizón is located in the Municipality of Boborás, in the historical complex of San Mamede de Moldes. The complex was declared a historical-artistic monument in 1946. It was declared within the historical complex as a singular estate. The history of the Pazo and its vineyard begins in the year 1592, with its precursor Bartolomé Rodríguez Tizón, abbot of Juvencos. Pedro Paz, the current owner, bought his native village, Liñariños, a total of 10 hectares with white grape varieties, mainly Treixadura and Albariño, but also in the 25 hectares of land in the village there are excellent lands, which for more than 400 years, They never dedicated themselves to anything other than producing grapes, that’s where, fifteen years ago, I planted more vines. Pedro was also able to buy the Pazo Tizón, which was in a dilapidated state at that time, and with his tireless work, he managed to rehabilitate it in more than 10 years with the premise that the winery was integrated into the main building. Thus, he kept a small old winery and accompanied it with a modern one, equipped with the highest technology. A true tribute to his father, who had instilled in him his love for the world of wine. A good way to relive the history of the vineyards, where there is a winemaking tradition of approximately 1000 years. Pazo Tizón Extramundi Tinto is a red wine made from the Arauxa, Mencía and Garnacha grape varieties by the Pazo Tizón Winery under the Ribeiro Designation of Origin. From owned vineyards with an approximate age of 13 years located in Liñariños. Cold maceration and fermentation in stainless steel. Pazo Tizón Extramundi Tinto is a smooth, delicate wine, with sweet and well-polymerized tannins, lots of red fruit and hints of cocoa and chocolate. Well integrated acidity, long and fruity aftertaste.
