The Pagos del Rey project arose with the aim of being present in the most renowned Designations of Origin in Spain, with unique wines and their own personality. The company has wineries in the appellations: Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Rueda and Toro. All of them have a modern design, where tradition and modernity are combined, equipped with the latest winemaking technology. The Solís family has managed to form a solid group of different wineries in the main designations of origin in Spain, from 2002 when they opened the Ribera del Duero winery in Olmedillo de Roa (Burgos) until 2008 when Félix Solís bought the winery Viña Bajoz in Morales de Toro have also been working tirelessly to establish themselves in Rueda in 2005, acquiring the Castillo Mudéjar winery, and in 2006 in La Rioja Alavesa. Bodegas Pagos del Rey combines tradition and modernity, thanks to the fact that its facilities are equipped with the latest winemaking technology. For the elaboration of Pulpo, a fermentation of the grape must is carried out at a controlled temperature of 16ºC in stainless steel tanks. Pulpo is a fresh, fruity flavour wine, with volume and a long aftertaste. It is perfect with steamed clams, seafood salad, cold or grilled seafood, garlic or grilled octopus, squid and mussels in vinaigrette.
