Description
Ramón do Casar Winery is a project that started in 2013 by the hand of the three González Sabucedo brothers, thus fulfilling the dream of their father Ramón, who after spending 20 years in Venezuela was able to return and gradually buy the land, where are made these exquisite wines now. Ramón do Casar Winery is located in the municipality of Prado, belonging to the Castrelo de Miño Council, Ourense and has 8 hectares of its own vineyard located on the banks of the Miño River, planted in the year 2000 with autochthonous varieties, on granite soils, to 350 meters of altitude, and with an influence of the Oceanic / Atlantic climate. At the head of the technical direction is Pablo Estévez, a young winemaker recognized for making great white wines in this area, personally supervising each harvest and cultivation process, from pruning to harvest, to guarantee that all of the grapes present an excellent quality at the time of harvest. From day one, the project aimed to produce high-quality wines within the framework of one of the oldest Denominations of Origin in Spain, the Ribeiro D.O. Raising the perception of quality and the prestige of Galician white wines made in Galicia became one of the company’s key strategic objectives. With their grapes they have harvested in their recent history excellent local, regional, national and international awards. “RC” is the logo for wine bottles, a decadent concept in which the “C” is the Ramón do Casar wine glass. Everything comes together to give meaning to the effort from the auroral vision. Ramón do Casar Varietal is a white wine made with Treixadura, Albariño and Godello grape varieties by the Ramón do Casal Winery and which it is encompassed in the regulatory board Ribeiro Designation of Origin. At the Ramón do Casar Winery they pursue excellence and continuous improvement in everything they do, from the soil to the bottle. For the elaboration of their range of wines they entrust the work of oenology to one of the most recognized and awarded professionals of recent times in Spain, Pablo Estévez. This is a company that unites like few others the image of the modern with elements of past and recent times, in an individual and family history that transmits to us from an intense emotion the current essence of the Ribeiro Designation of Origin.
