Señorío de Lazoiro is a 100% Albariño white wine made by Bodega Pazo As Barreiras – Bodegas Villanueva within the protection of the regulatory board of Rias Baixas Designation of Origin. This is a porcede wine from vineyards located in the Condado del Tea sub-area planted on clay soils and with the presence of pebbles. Señorío de Lazoiro is a delicate, light, subtle Albariño wine, with a lot of fruit content and pleasant citrus notes, very tasty and pleasant as a whole.
Appearance: Bright and crystalline straw yellow colour.
Bouquet: Gives off aroma of pineapple, apple and citrus notes.
Palate: Delicate softness and subtle lightness on the palate. A great wine.
Pazo As Barreiras Winery is located in Salvaterra de Miño and integrated into the pazo that gives its name to it. The pazo was built at the beginning of the seventeenth century by the noble Sarmiento de Valladares family, who ran it for several generations as military rulers of the town of Salvaterra de Miño. Despite its commercial use, the pazo continues to maintain its original structure. With an “L” -shaped plan and two stories high, the stone that composes it comes from the ruined watchtower of Santiago de Aytona, which was used in the rehabilitation carried out in 1979. The vineyard of the As Barreiras estate it consists of ten hectares of land. Perfectly oriented, it grows on a fertile clay-like soil, a mixture of silt and pebbles, proof that it was once an ancient bed of the river Miño. In it, exclusively white grapes of the Albariño variety are produced. The Albariño grape is considered one of the most important varieties in Galicia. It is a variety with early sprouting and late maturing. Of small grain, it allows obtaining pale yellow wines with greenish flashes and stands out for its ability to produce wines with a high aromatic load. The sub-area of Condado del Tea, with an Atlantic climate, with rains spread throughout the year, favours obtaining a wine with a moderate alcohol content of between 12 and 13 degrees, little acid and very aromatic.
