Description
All the vineyards of the Mauro Estévez Winery are located on the slopes of the Arnoia River, in sunny and airy areas, with granite and clay soils, unbeatable areas for the development of viticulture. Approximately 2.5 Ha of vineyards distributed in 16 small plots with their different microclimates and terroirs where each variety acquires its specific and differentiating characteristics. In these farms a plurality of autochthonous varieties is observed, typical of this area as they are; Treixadura, Torrontés, Loureira, Godello, Albariño and Lado, with much emphasis on this last variety, of which they have centuries-old vines. José Estévez, viticulturist and his son Mauro are in charge of its care and projection. Galiana, Sequeiro and La Tapada are the largest parcels and that bring the most nuances to their wines. Uxia da Ponte Monovarietal Lado is the jewel of the Mauro Estévez Winery, a white wine made with Lado, a variety of delicate white grape with very little production, since only 700 bottles of this wine are made per year, which makes it a unique and exclusive product. On the slopes of the two valleys of the municipality of Arnoia (Orense), San Vicente and San Mauro belonging to the Ribeiro Designation of Origin, there are 2.5 Hectares of centenary vineyards distributed in 16 small plots with their different microclimates and terroirs where each variety acquires its specific and differentiating characteristics.
